New Cigars in the Humidor - Cohiba, Montecristo and Rocky Patel

Cohiba Edicion Diamante

The Return of the 30 Year Old Wrapper

The 1980 crop of Cameroon wrapper tobacco remains one of the most exemplary leaves ever cultivated.  In the thirty years since this outstanding tobacco was harvested, General Cigar's tobacco masters have cloistered these rarefied leaves, nurturing them for the perfect occasion.  The time is now (again).  Introducing Cohiba Edicion Diamante, one of the most limited releases ever made available by General Cigar.

To celebrate the well-balanced, refined taste of the 32-year old Capa Reserva wrapper, Benji Menendez and General Cigar's team of cigar masters worked tirelessly to create the optimal blend for Cohiba Edicion Diamante.  A proprietary Dominican Piloto Cubano blend bolsters the subtly complex taste of the elegant wrapper which enrobes an Indonesian Jember binder.  To taste this cigar is to experience the art of cigar making at its finest: a fragrant aroma opens to a delightfully balanced smoke with nuances of cinnamon and toasted wood.

An exceptionally smooth cigar presented in individual cigar coffins for the Robusto and glass tubes for the Toro.

Montecristo EPIC

The boldest Montecristo yet.

A bolder, artistically packaged Montecristo from the Dominican Republic is now in cigar shops. Montecristo Epic, a cigar made with tobacco dating back to 2007, showed up at premium tobacconists this week.

The brand extension comes in three sizes, with a third, limited-edition size following later in the year (The famous Montecristo No.2). Described as the fullest-bodied Montecristo in the entire Altadis U.S.A. Inc. portfolio, Montecristo Epic is made with a blend of Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos (some of it grown in 2007) a Nicaraguan binder and Ecuadoran Habano wrapper, one of the most popular wrapper varieties being used today.

Rocky Patel BURN

The best NEW Rocky Patel Cigar in years.

The newest edition to the Rocky Patel portfolio is cigar complex enough to satisfy the palate of any cigar smoker from novice to enthusiast.  The BURN starts off with notes of cedar and leathery undertones transitioning to a smooth sweet and floral center.  The cigar is named after Rocky's cigar lounge in Naples, FL and until recently was exclusive to BURN.  In our shop those who've tried the BURN have told us that its name should come from smoking the cigar all the way down to the nub until you burn your fingers.  It's that good.  It's the best Rocky Patel cigar since the Vintage Cameroon 2003.
