About the Cigar
The 1980 crop of Cameroon wrapper tobacco remains one of the most exemplary leaves ever cultivated. In the thirty years since this outstanding tobacco was harvested, General Cigar's tobacco masters have cloistered these rarefied leaves, nurturing them for the perfect occasion. The time is now. Introducing Cohiba Edicion Diamante, one of the most limited releases ever made available by General Cigar.
To celebrate the well-balanced, refined taste of the 32-year old Capa Reserva wrapper, Benji Menendez and General Cigar's team of cigar masters worked tirelessly to create the optimal blend for Cohiba Edicion Diamante. A proprietary Dominican Piloto Cubano blend bolsters the subtly complex taste of the elegant wrapper which enrobes an Indonesian Jember binder. To taste this cigar is to experience the art of cigar making at its finest: a fragrant aroma opens to a delightfully balanced smoke with nuances of cinnamon and toasted wood.
The stately humidor was commissioned to accentuate the treasured cigars contained within and presents itself as a rare opportunity to own a piece of premium cigar history. With attention to every detail, the interior consists of six drawers and is made entirely of Spanish Cedar, while the handsome exterior features hand lacquered hard wood highlighted with chrome fixtures. This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of the premium cigar industry, for a mere 100 Cohiba Edicion Diamante humidors will be released. (Anstead's has Humidor 17/100)

Peterson of Dublin was founded by Charles Peterson in 1865. In 1890, he developed the Peterson Patent System - a graduated bore in the mouthpiece helps to collect tar and moisture in a reservoir and away from the bowl of the pipe. The shape of the "P-lip" vulcanite mouthpiece, invented in 1898, is uniquely designed to direct the smoke up and away from the tongue, drastically reducing "tongue bite." The tongue rests in the indentation under the mouthpiece opening. The P-lip mouthpiece has made this brand renowned worldwide for a smooth, mellow smoking experience. Standard mouthpieces are also available.Pipes over $150-15% OFF

Q: What do cigar enthusiasts, the FDA, and Obama have in common?
A: An Extensive Regulatory Agenda
From the Daily Caller:
Cigar Lovers, industry unite to snuff out FDA regulatory Agenda
Cigar smokers are mad as hell, and they aren’t going to take it anymore. Faced with an unprecedented assault on their guilty pleasure from President Barack Obama’s Food and Drug Administration, aficionados and industry insiders told The Daily Caller that they’re picking up their torch lighters and revolting.
Usually divided by their preferences for mild, medium and full-bodied smokes, they’re uniting against regulations that threaten to make cigars prohibitively expensive, shut down scores of small cigar shops, jeopardize tens of thousands of jobs and erase the traditionally bright line between Camels and Cohibas.
Cigar lovers are also recruiting members of Congress to defend what public health activists and anti-cancer crusaders see as little more than gentrified cigarettes smoked by economic one-percenters.

Cigar Rights of America-Fighting for You!!
This week Glynn Loope and the Cigar Rights of America team garnered the support of Mary Landrieu, D-Louisiana for Senate Bill 1461 the US Senate counter part of H.R. 1639. Mrs. Landrieu is a key member of the United States Senate because she is the chairwoman of the Small Business & Entrepreneurship Committee. Her support will help lend legitimacy to the fight to protect premium cigars and also gives the movement more support from the folks who are so called "across the aisle."
Senator Landrieu's support for S. 1461 comes at a critical juncture for the legislation, as now we need for all CRA members to be contacting the office of their members of the US Senate, asking that they too, serve as a co-sponsor on S. 1461.

Arturo Fuente Anejos Extra Viejo
Only available around Christmas, A.F. Anejos are some of the rarest cigars in the World. |
The Fuente name is no stranger to cigar enthusiasts both at the novice and aficionado levels. For generations, they have been producing the best tobacco and the best cigars in the Dominican Republic. After the hugely successful launch of their coveted Opus X cigar, a new idea was born. This idea was for a cigar that uses the very best Dominican filler and binder, but adds a 5-year-old Connecticut maduro wrapper aged in a cognac barrel. The cigar became known as Fuente Anejo (extra Viejo).
Fuente Anejo is a full-bodied Dominican cigar with unique aging process that leaves a very distinct finish on the palate. Typically, only available around Father's Day and Christmas, this cigar is one of the hardest to find and exclusive cigars in the world.
