“The
Perfect Balance”
This cigar has everything! The Gurkha Cellar Reserve
Limitada is the perfect balance of sweet and savory, smooth and spicy. It is beautifully constructed with the finest
tobaccos from the Dominican and a deliciously leathery Brazilian Maduro. The
construction, though not seamless, is impressive to say the least. This stick
has a good firm construction and a traditional pigtailed cap, which bodes well
for those who enjoy a more tightly wrapped cigar, The Aroma of the foot gives
off a pleasant mixture of sweet spice and cedar tones, which was hardly to be
expected knowing that this is a predominantly Dominican smoke.
The pre-light draw boasts heavy cedar and a
playfully subtle coffee note, with a lingering spice on the finish. Upon
lighting the cigar, the flavors held true to the pre-light with sweet cedar,
coffee and spice in the nose; and a contrasting earthy sweetness, and mild
peppery spice on the soft palate with a strong espresso finish. This complex
smoke transitions into a decadent chocolate room note. The draw throughout the
cigar is open, and produces the perfect amount of smoke to bring full attention
of your senses to this blend.
The only downside to this smoke is having to put it
down! The Gurkha Cellar Reserve Limitada is a well-balanced and complex cigar
with a full body, perfect for relaxing with a spirit at the end of the day, and
is best enjoyed with good company.
